EVENTS CALENDAR
SAMC hosts multiple events each month. Also, as a group, we like to participate in local car shows and events like
Little Anthony’s Diner, Tucson Police Foundation's Cops and Rodders, as well as benefit events for local schools and charities.
Members can participate in an event almost every weekend.
Listed below is a summary of a few of the Club’s activities.

SAMC Monthly Member Meetings
– meetings are the third Tuesday of every month (except December), at 6:00pm. Meeting place is Holmes Tuttle Ford - 660 W Auto Mall Drive (upstairs conference room), Tucson, AZ 85705
1st Saturday Cruise - SAMC hosts a cruise on the first Saturday of each month. Sometimes we have more Mustangs at this event than we do our monthly meetings! A member plans a cruise route, we meet at a designated location, and away we go. We might cruise up a hill to stop and see the city lights, stop somewhere and learn about Tucson’s history, ride the Trolley, tour the old train station, or even observe the stars at the Kitt Peak observatory.
The cruise options are endless. And, we almost always end up somewhere for an ice cream or coffee.
Fords Off Fourth
– Seeing hundreds of Fords, all years, lined up row after row at the all Ford car show is an exhilarating experience for the Mustang owner. The show is held in Tucson, Arizona, making for a fun day all while having beautiful Fords providing a variety of vehicles to admire. SAMC invites everyone to enjoy this special show with us! The Fords Off Fourth show is also a benefit for two local Tucson area charities.
Hotel information for out of town entrants will be available, as well as lists of interesting and historic sites in the Tucson area.
Rallye del ano Nuevo - is SAMC’s oldest event that began in 1966. It started as a formal Rallye with very strict rules (stop watches and clip boards were standard equipment), spread out over a few days. However, over the years things have lightened up and now it is a very relaxing, enjoyable variety of driving events. Some of the club’s favorite rallies and tours have been to Tombstone and Bisbee. A couple of times, SAMC used Rallye del ano Nuevo for a Wine Tour to Arizona’s wine country in Sonoita.
The Great Pumpkin - is SAMC’s second oldest event, that has gone full circle from a rallye to a huge car show to a Halloween Party. The first Pumpkin was held on November 1, 1967 and was a gimmick rallye. How could it be anything else when all the participants were dressed in Halloween Costumes? The first rallye was at night and SAMC watched for The Great Pumpkin to rise from the Pumpkin Patch at a party following the rallye. This event is everyone’s favorite because there is no pressure unless you are competing to win the Best Costume!
Mustangs By The Bay
– many SAMC members participate in this annual car show Sponsored by the Mustang Club of San Diego. It is their premier car show held at the Embarcadero Marina Park North, next to Seaport Village, on the beautiful San Diego Bay.
